Brian Walsh Announces Campaign for Anderson County Court at Law

PALESTINE, TX – Local attorney Brian Walsh has announced his campaign for Anderson County Court at Law, running as a Republican committed to upholding conservative principles and ensuring a court that is fair and grounded in East Texas values.

Growing up in Anderson County with more than two decades of legal experience, Walsh practices criminal, civil, family, and probate law, and currently serves as the City Prosecutor for the City of Palestine. He is also a certified mediator, known for his ability to resolve disputes efficiently and fairly.

“I’m running to ensure Anderson County has a court that is firm when it needs to be, fair in every decision, and faithful to the law,” Walsh said. “As a conservative, I believe in personal responsibility, accountability, and treating every person who enters the courtroom with respect.”

Walsh also expressed deep respect and gratitude for Judge Jeff Doran, who will retire after years of honorable service to the county.

“Judge Doran has served Anderson County with distinction and integrity,” Walsh said. “He set a high standard for fairness and professionalism, and I intend to continue that legacy while bringing a steady, conservative hand to the bench.”

A graduate of Cayuga High School, Southwestern University, and the University of Arkansas School of Law, Walsh began his career at Vinson & Elkins in Houston before returning home to Anderson County in 2010 to open his private practice. He has also served the community through leadership roles with the Anderson County Youth Livestock Association and the BCY Water Supply Corporation, where he currently serves as board president.

Walsh and his wife, Jodie, live in Tennessee Colony and remain deeply involved in local civic and youth organizations.

“Serving this community has always been a privilege,” Walsh said. “I will bring the same dedication, work ethic, and conservative values to the bench that have guided me throughout my legal career.”
